This year the North Coastal Council had 106 entries across all 6 categories and has selected 36 entries to advance to the Ninth District Level.  The Ninth District covers all PTAs throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties.  Congratulations to the 4 entries from Diegueno that were selected to advance to this next level!

Red Ribbon Week was a great success!

The Nation's Largest & Longest-Running Drug-Use Prevention Campaign


We hope that this anti-drug, anti-vaping and anti-alcohol campaign will continue with you at home every chance you get. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who participated.

Wednesday: E-Bike Safety, CSI Crime Scene Investigates Diegueño

In 2013, Alex had a major brain injury from a  skateboard accident in front of his home in Carmel Valley. In speaking with trauma injury professionals, traumatic brain injury from E-bikes is now the primary concern in children ages 12-19. E-bike crashes is on the rise and expected to dramatically increase in the future. Please see attachment.

Remember Alex's story when you remind your child to not only wear a helmet but to clip it properly when using an E-bike or skateboard. Please click here to experience Alex's story.

Thursday: Wear neon colors! My future is too bright to do drugs

Avoid drugs and alcohol with a Natural High. Alarmingly, marijuana and suicides are now being linked. In face, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner, 39% of completed suicides under the age of 25, tested positive for marijuana in 2020. Please click here for more information.

  • ASB (ASB is like student government they plan cool events and we try and financially support them) spending is limited, they can only fund student activities 

  • Our students need YOU to invest in their success by funding Experiences, Environment and Miscellaneous Enhancements to their evolving educational and emotional needs 

  • Our goal is 100% participation for the 2022-2023 school year

  • Shade & Tables - with the pandemic we need students to be able to gather and connect in outdoor spaces more than ever and it's super hot on campus - they really need more shade PLEASE HELP

  • Experiences - speakers in fields of Internet safety, anti-bullying, drug/alcohol awareness, stress management, funding field trips and making school a fun connecting space 

  • Environment -providing a safe & comfortable learning environment for every student

  • Mini-Grants & classroom supplies for teachers

There is a membership level for everyone.  Every contribution goes directly to helping DNO.
